A Trip to Farmer's Market @ Central Park

Last week, I found out that 1 Utama will be organising their first Farmer's Market @ Central Park via a brochure placed on one of their counters. Looks interesting, I thought. So we headed over there yesterday after our morning walk at the park.

The Farmer's Market comprises around 10 - 12 stalls occupying a small section of Central Park. There were stalls selling mushrooms, organic vegetables, local and imported fruits, potted plants, bread and home-made jam.

I was quite excited to find these carrot complete with their roots and tops at this organic vegetable stall. Super cute!

Gourmet homemade jam in unique flavours such as Apple & Kiwi, Pineapple & Papaya and Butterscotch Pumpkin. The same stall sells organic yoghurt as well.

We got two bottles of jam, a pack of sweet seedless grapes and a pack of baby sweet potatoes from the market, in addition to the free cherry tomatoes through the redemption. I love the pumpkin jam!

As it is the first time 1 Utama organized this event, I supposed there is room for improvement in getting more awareness on this event as the crowd was relatively small. The publicity in 1 Utama was quite minimal and it was by chance I got the brochure I decided to drop by the market. The next market will be held on the 1st Sunday of September.

I will most likely miss the next Farmer's Market in September due to my confinement, so hopefully I could drop by again in October, this time with hubby and baby!

Haha I also bought gourmet jam yesterday - Pineapple + Cempedak in one jar. Shaw Parade flea market - very cina & creative stuff, stuff you see on Etsy (but I think it's even better than Etsy).

For example this one - www.jainabee.etsy.com, has origami in their cosmetics, quite amazing!

Swee San, it's supposed to be but I'm not sure if they are going to continue this as I have not heard news on November's specials. But the signboard in Central Park itself looks permanent.
