Louis Vuitton Bag - Inspired by China?

I'd better post this before it goes out of season, or it already has?

I received an email on this from a fellow colleague a couple of months ago, but couldn't find the actual picture on the Louis Vuitton website. Now that it is officially up, i really wonder if LV found inspiration in the (in)famous China plastic bag, or it is just pure co-incidence?

From the Louis Vuitton collection :

The Real McCoy

These type of bags are commonplace in China. I'm not sure about the LV bag, but I do know those bags are very durable. Heck, I even used one of them to carry my stuff back from Sydney. My family couldn't recognised me because they thought I was someone from China, just because of the bag!

This will be a pretty easy bag to counterfeit, but will anyone from the east buy it, especially those from China?

haha.. that's right. the bag is used a lot in China. When I see the bag, the peasant image is rising. And the peasant moved to the city for another job searching. Even the bag is very cheap, but I don't want to use it out of China. That's why Benetton made it.. ^^
