Rebounding

After my previous post ranting about being empty and such, and putting up depressing messages on Facebook and MSN, things became interesting.

  • A big thank you to my friends who read this and giving me the advice and encouragement, it's wonderful to know I have fantastic friends out there :)
  • The Lord works in mysterious ways. Right after my post I checked my email and received a Christian-based article on handling depression. I've posted this up on my other blog Talithakoum.
There were also some activities which I engaged myself in over the weekend and past few days which helped lifted up my spirits :

  • Gardening. While I definitely do not have a green thumb, and can't exactly call a few potted plants my garden, it was quite therapeutic to get your hands all grubby while repotting the plants and rearranging the pots around the balcony. Now if only they could stay alive after all this...
  • Polyvore. I blame Polyvore for my absence in my blog! Blames aside, I get a lot of inspiration for Polyvore sets recently so hence my concentration on creating Polyvore sets to destress.
  • Shopping. Ah, nothing like a good retail therapy session. I attended a half-day seminar in KL a few days back and decided to stay back to do some window-shopping. Oops, wrong decision. I ended up with a belt, two shirts and a bag. I told myself the bag is my early birthday pressie, but how do I justify the shirts? So that really kicked me back into the work mode. Is it guilt? Perhaps, since I have never spent so much in a short time before.
I returned to work with a huge pile of paper, a whiteboard so I could write down my to-do list and a weekend goal : to finish up my China photobook this weekend! Once that's done then perhaps I could start on my Jiuzhaigou blog.

Is my life back on track? Only time will tell :)
