Trip to Kampung Sungai Melayu, Johor Bahru

On the 9th of September 2018, my family and I took part in an excursion to Kampung Sungai Melayu. There were around 16 families, total of 70 people in this excursion, and was organised by mummy Jac (Thank you Jac!) Some background about Kampung Sungai Melayu : - It existed as early as 1864 or about 150 years before formation of Kota Iskandar as Administrative Center of Johor - Distance to Singapore is a mere 5km and takes only 5 minutes to get to Singapore. - It is among the last traditional Malay fishing village along the Straits of Tebrau. Based on 2015 census, around 148 families still live in this village, of which 70% are fishermen. - It covers an area of 122.30 acres, and rich in fauna and flora including its mangrove swamps. - Bird watching is a very popular activity with the locals and tourists alike. Where to eat near Legoland Malaysia - Part 1

Believe it or not, this is the number one question asked by my friends or relatives visiting Legoland Johor! To be more specific, those who came to Johor Bahru for holiday, and staying within the Nusajaya or Bukit Indah area. There is nothing much to eat in the Legoland area, unless visitors plan to drop by Puteri Harbour for food, but then again, Puteri Harbour is a tourist attraction as well. I always tell them to go around AEON Bukit Indah for food, but decided to compile some of the eateries we frequent, and spcifically if the places are baby or toddler friendly or not. DIY Toy Blocks

I read that toy blocks are one of the best toys for a child's intellectual development. While we have not gotten any toy blocks for DC yet, I plan to get one set for her later. Meanwhile, she still have her stacker rings and stacking cups which are her two favourite toys at the moment. She doesn't know how to stack them yet, but she loves to grab two of them and make noises as she clap her hands together. I have a lot of these Eu Yan Sang Essence of Chicken boxes at home (hubby consumes these on a daily basis - while stocks last). I thought it would make a good toy block for DC, I can also gauge if she has an interest in blocks at the moment or not :) What you need : Small cardboard boxes Colour paper Glue tape or glue Pen knife/scissors Bells (optional) 1.
