Makeover

People say woman do drastic things when they are stressed, and usually they release it in form of shopping or makeover. New bag, new shoes, new man, new hairdo, new nose...

I've got to say my life has been pretty much frazzled lately, with lots of stress at work due to certain ongoing 'projects'. So last weekend I went to my regular hairstylist at Peek-a-Boo and told him I wanted a makeover.

His first reaction was to laugh. "You are fed up of your long hair?" he asked. I nodded my head. I told him to give me a bob. But not a short one though as I worry it will shock my husband.

Why a bob?

I've been seeing a lot of bob hairdos recently, especially on celebrities, (seems it is 'in-season'). I thought the current bob is much more stylish and flexible than what it was in the nineties. I especially like Rihanna's bob as it suits her face very much.

However, what really gave me the push was Korean actress Lee Min Jung, currently from the Boys Before Flowers fame. I just love how good she looks here!

Back at the hair salon, my hairstylist was already snipping away my locks. I had long hair for many years already. It has been coloured, permed, rebonded to death, layered, given short bangs. Somehow it was never really managable though. I usually put on a hairband or tie into a ponytail wherever I go. Well, time for a change, no turning back now.

So here's a snippet of my new haircut. Totally different right? I think the last time my hair was so short was during high school!

Good thing is that hubby loves it because it made me look young; I love it because it's really easy to wash. Only thing I need to master now is how to blow dry it, especially the longer locks that frame my face. I already had ducktails yesterday!

Extreme makeover? Not quite, but at least it's one less thing to stress about :)

I agree with Kenneth. The back already looks good. I am suffering from hair loss a lot recently. How depressing. Not sure it's the diet, shampoo or water itself. Am thinking of cutting it short too. Not too short though.

Li Li, I'm not sure if it's the water though...my brother's friends all started balding while in Notthingham...
