How this project came about was out of boredom.
I was bored with my office lanyard and wanted a change. After studying the materials required, I figured out that it wasn't so hard to do my own lanyard. I thought that the lanyard should also be more interesting hence I decided to make a duo-coloured lanyard using grosgrain ribbons.
What you need
2 x one meter long grosgrain ribbons of different colours
Key chain with hook
Small metal grip (not sure how to describe it 0- see picture below)
Hot glue gun
Fabric Mod Podge
Pliers
A small strip of decorative ribbon
Steps

Steps
1. Apply a thin even layer of Fabric Mod Podge onto one section of the first ribbon.
2. Take the other ribbon and press together with the first ribbon. Press firmly and slow to ensure both are aligned. Wait a while for the Mod Podge to dry before continuing with the remaining of the ribbon.
3. After completing the whole strip, it should look like this when completely dry.

4. Hold both ends of the ribbon together and loop in the key chain hoop so it looks like this (see below picture)
5. Leave around 2 - 3 inches of space in between. Bunch up the ribbon ends and use the pliers to fit the ribbon ends into the grip. Sorry I did not take a photo as I was too engrossed in this step!
6. To secure the ribbon ends to ensure they do not fall apart, I filled the space up using my hot glue gun. Another alternative is to sew the ends together before putting it into the grip.

7. Once the ribbons are firmly placed in the grip. Wrap the short strip of decorative ribbon around the grip. Secure with hot glue.
